Accelerating the active participation of SMEs in global markets

Today companies compete not only with each other within an industry nationwide, but it also competes with companies across industries globally. In short, it does not really matter whether you are a national market leader today. What matters is that alternatives and substitutes are being produced everyday around the world and in making purchase decisions, customers consider these differences (whether it is in price or perceived value) before supporting or rejecting a product or service. Although success in international markets requires that a company first performs well in a domestic market, whether or not a customer buys or not buys a product or service would depend on the competitiveness of market players in any one market - be it local or international.
However as a relatively small market, high-growth Malaysian companies have little choice but to expand operations into global markets where entrepreneurial spirit needs to be replaced with the commitment and capacity to grow - either through franchise operations - or other international market growth strategies. If you are ready to take this leap into export-oriented activities, the SME Global fast tracks your international business growth. To increase national productivity and competitiveness, it is one of the key thrusts of the Ninth Malaysia Plan that Malaysia expands its market for homegrown products and services through the generation of knowledge-intensive and skills-based capabilities. The SME Global - a product offered in close collaboration with our strategic partners - may be the right product for you.
