Introduction

Malay Reserve Development Financing Program (MRDF) is financing facility with an allocation of RM200 million initiated by the Government under the National Budget 2014 for the development of Malay Reserve Land in strategic areas such as Kampung Baru, Kampung Datuk Keramat and Kampung Pandan. This facility is to boost the improvement of the standard of living of the Bumiputera community in-line with the rapid development of the surrounding area.

Objective

  • To provide financing facility for the development of the Malay Reserve Land in strategic areas
  • To assist in developing and/or redevelopment of Malay Reserve Land
  • To rationalise and optimise the use of land within the Malay Reservation Area (MRA)

 Eligibility

  • Companies categorised as SMEs registered with Companies Commission of Malaysia.
    * SMEs as per SME Bank’s definition.
  • Bumiputera sector involved in the development and/or redevelopment of Malay Reserve land
  • Company must be financially viable and fulfilled the criteria set by SME Bank.

Financing Concept

  • Based on Shariah financing concept (Bai’ Inah, Bai’ Bithaman Ajil, Bai’ Istisna, Kafalah, Commodity Murabahah Term Financing-i (CMTF-i), Commodity Murabahah Revolving Financing-i (CMRF-i) and Ijarah Muthaniah Bi Tamlik-i (IMBT-i) ).

Purpose

  • Purchase completed commercial asset/ property
  • Purchase of land and construct commercial & residential property (Bridging Financing)
  • Refinancing of encumbered/ unencumbered commercial property
  • Renovation/ refurbishment of existing commercial property
  • Finance the actual cost of stamp duty, legal fees and valuation (where applicable)
  • Any other purpose as approved by the Bank

Financing Limit

  • Subject to the Single Customer Limit of the Bank

Margin of Financing

  • Subject to the facility granted by the Bank

Tenure

  • Subject to the facility granted by the Bank

Profit Rate

  • Competitive Fixed/ Variable/ Flat Profit Rate

Payment Term

  • Depending on cash flow e.g. monthly or quarterly basis
