Q4 SME Bank offers both Sha’riah-based and conventional financing facilities. Are the profit rates of the Sha’riah financing and the interest rates of the conventional financing competitive with each other?
Both the profit rates and the interest rates are competitive between these types of financing.


Q5 Our project is located in Melaka. Should we submit our application for financing to SME Bank Head Office in Kuala Lumpur or to SME Bank regional office in Melaka for faster processing?
The application should be submitted to the regional office for processing. If the applicant’s main office is located in Kuala Lumpur while the project is located in another state, then the application may be submitted to SME Bank Head Office in Kuala Lumpur.


Q6 I am running an export import business. Am I eligible to apply for a business financing?
SME Bank is a development financial institution mandated with the role of nurturing and meeting the needs of Malaysian-owned and controlled Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The SME Bank does not finance Malaysian companies doing business overseas.

Q9 What is SME Bank business hours operation?
Our business hours operation starts from 8.30 a.m till 5.30 p.m (Monday to Thursday) and 8.30 a.m till 4.45 p.m (Friday). We are closed during lunch hours from 1.00 p.m to 2.00 p.m (Monday to Thursday), 12.30 p.m to 2.45 p.m (Friday).
